New connectors for industry

In Product News 2024, CONEC provides an overview of new products from the product groups M8 duo splitters, M8/M12 connectors, socket connectors with bayonet locking, insulation body/housing, and hybrid connectors/receptables. In addition to a variety of connectors for all current standards, CONEC's particular strengths are the integrated moulding of components and assemblies and the development of customized solutions.

Defective cabling and contact problems can lead to expensive plant downtimes and unscheduled maintenance work – and are one of the most frequent causes of faults. Turck's smart M12Plus connectors now provide a solution and enable the condition monitoring of cables and contacts by measuring current and voltage. Error sources can be identified and localized as each plug connector is assigned a unique address.

Waterproof push-pull connectors are suitable for harsh environments in mechanical engineering as well as for use in medical technology. Yamaichi Electronics has introduced a compact concept designed for up to 5,000 mating cycles. Easy assembly and increased reliability characterise this T series, which enables data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s under harsh conditions.

In order to save time and thus costs, ease of maintenance and speed of installation are playing an increasingly important role in industrial cabling. Overmoulded connectors with snap termination can be quickly and easily plugged onto sockets, sensors and actuators without any further work steps or tools.

Due to their very small design and the one-piece zinc die-cast housing, the P67 D-SUB CONEC SlimCon connectors are ideally designed for industrial and harsh environments where not much installation space is available. Yamaichi Electronics offers Y-SPE, a new series of connectors for Industrial Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) according to IEC 63171.
